SEALED
ROMANS 4:11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a SEAL of righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be IMPUTED unto them also.
2 CORINTHIANS 1:21 -22 NOW HE WHICH STABLISHETH US WITH YOU IN CHRIST, AND HATH ANOINTED US, IS GOD
WHO HATH ALSO SEALED US, AND GIVEN THE EARNEST OF THE SPIRIT IN OUR HEARTS.
EPHESIANS 1:13-14 IN WHOM YE ALSO TRUSTED, AFTER THAT YE HEARD THE WORD OF TRUTH, THE GOSPEL OF YOUR SALVATION: IN WHOM ALSO AFTER THAT YE BELIEVED, YE WERE SEALED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT OF PROMISE,
WHICH IS THE EARNEST OF THE PURCHASED POSSESSION, UNTO THE PRAISE OF HIS GLORY.
EPHESIANS4:30 AND GRIEVE NOT THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD, WHEREBY YE ARE SEALED UNTO THE DAY OF REDEMPTION.
EPHESIANS 4:23-24 AND BE RENEWED IN THE SPIRIT OF YOUR MIND;
AND THAT YE PUT ON THE NEW MAN, WHICH AFTER GOD IS CREATED IN RIGHTEOUSNESS AND TRUE HOLINESS.
JOHN 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, THIS IS THE WORK OF GOD, THAT YE BELIEVE ON HIM WHOM HE HATH SENT.
ROMANS 8:9-10 BUT YE ARE NOT IN THE FLESH, BUT IN THE SPIRIT, IF SO BE THAT THE SPIRIT OF GOD DWELL IN YOU. NOW IF ANY MAN HAVE NOT THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST, HE IS NONE OF HIS.
AND IF CHRIST BE IN YOU, THE BODY IS DEAD BECAUSE OF SIN; BUT THE SPIRIT IS LIFE BECAUSE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.
SEALED: Fastened, Impervious, Not Penetrable, Incapable Of Being Influenced, A Device That Is Used To Join Two Things Together So To Prevent Them From Coming Apart Or Prevent Anything From Passing Between Them.
IMPUTED: CHARGE TO AN INDIVIDUAL BASED ON THE ACTIONS OF ANOTHER.
All of this means is
Christians have words they use that are totally misunderstood by others.
Lost means you do not know Jesus as your Savior.
Sinner means you have broken the LAW Of GOD.
LAW OF GOD means The Commandments of GOD.
First, the Commandments of GOD are found in The Old Testament Book of Exodus
Chapter 20:1:17. (YOU CAN READ THEM ALL IN THEIR COMPLETE CONTEXT, I AM WRITING THEM IN A CONDENSED VERSION.)
(1) HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME
(2) MAKE NO GRAVEN IMAGES, OR ANY LIKENESSES OF THINGS THAT ARE IN HEAVEN OR OR OF EARTH OR THINGS BENEATH OD OF THE WATER. DO NOT BOW DOWN TO THEM, NOR SERVE THEM
(3) DO NOT TAKE THE LORDS NAME IN VAIN
(4) REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY, TO KEEP IT HOLY. SIX DAYS SHALL YE LABOR, THE SABBATH IS FOR REST
(5) HONOR THY FATHER AND MOTHER
(6) THOU SHALT NOT KILL
(7) THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY
(8) THOU SHALT NOT STEAL
(9) THOU SHALT NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS
(10) THOU SHALT NOT COVET THY NEIGHBOR'S HOUSE OR SERVANTS ANYTHING OF YOUR NEIGHBORS
So as you can see no one can say they are perfect before GOD because no one can keep THE LAW OF GOD.
Salvation means You are Saved and you know Jesus Christ as your Savior.
JESUS CHRIST AS YOU SAVIOR means you know GOD sent HIS ONLY SON to come and keep The LAW of GOD perfectly and to die for your sin. He was punished in your place.
When you break the LAW Of GOD, there is a punishment.
GOD requires RIGHTEOUSNESS, but as you can see no one can keep the Whole LAW Of GOD, so HE sent HIS Only SON to keep the Whole LAW Of GOD and to take the punishment for your LAW breaking. Our belief in JESUS'S PERFECTION OF KEEPING THE LAW in our place is how HIS Righteousness is imputed to us. HE was able to do what we could not.
If you break just one of GOD'S COMMANDMENTS, you have broken the Whole LAW Of GOD.
THE LAW IS THE LAW, for instance, the law of driving is you can go 55 miles per hour but you go 60, you have broken the LAW, even if you keep all of the other laws of driving, nonetheless the law has been broken by you, so the punishment is a ticket.
RIGHTEOUS OR RIGHTEOUSNESS means cleansed or clean pure, justified before GOD. HE sees you as HOLY.
When The HOLY SPIRIT moves upon you, what HE is doing is shining GOD'S (flashlight) or HIS GLORY into your spiritual side and you start seeing your spirit as GOD sees it. You do not know or even care that you are a sinner until GOD shows you how vile you really are. When GOD'S Light shines into the darkest part of you, you cannot stop yourself from knowing and confessing that you are the person that GOD sees. When you see the vileness of your spirit that's when GOD starts showing you HIS SON and the Righteousness only JESUS has. Then you cry out JESUS SAVE ME! HELP ME! That is when you become washed in the Sacrifice of JESUS and you are cleansed in HIS BLOOD that was shed for you when HE died on the Cross. The Cross was the punishment for you breaking The LAW Of GOD. When you are confessing that you are a sinner and receiving the cleansing, in actuality what is happening is you are being Spiritually cleansed and are being Born Again into GOD'S Family. You are receiving JESUS'S Righteousness, and now you have become a child of GOD. You are Spiritual, this means you are alive Spiritually. You are now aware of GOD and HIS Righteousness that is only through Christ JESUS. You are no longer that vile spirit, you are now clean.
Let's say a child was told by its parent, DO NOT GO OUTSIDE AND PLAY IN THE MUD, YOU WILL GET DIRTY. YOU WILL BE PUNISHED. The child does not care what the parent commanded or even the promise of punishment. The child disobeys and goes outside plays in the mud. Firstly, the command from the parent. Secondly, the parent now deems the child unclean. Thirdly, Punishment should come. Yes, I said "should come" to the child, but when the time came for the child to be punished, JESUS Saved the child.
Saved or Salvation, is the washing of the child by the Blood Of JESUS. After washing the child, JESUS wraps it, in HIS own robe of Righteousness. Wrapped in Righteousness, the child is then sealed with The HOLY SPIRIT, never to be dirty again. The child needed to be the one punished, JESUS still took the punishment and deemed the child clean. JESUS knew the child had done wrong but HE loved the child and forgave it anyway. JESUS stood in for the child, because, HE knew the child would never be able to clean itself good enough for THE PARENT, it needed an advocate, as do we, JESUS.
FIRST THE COMMANDMENT OF GOD, THEN DISOBEDIENCE, AND FINALLY THE PUNISHMENT.
The Commandment Of GOD still a Commandment, the disobedience by us is still wrong, the punishment is still required, the difference is that GOD has put The Sacrifice of JESUS between us and the punishment. The punishment still had to be paid, but it was paid by JESUS. Make sure Jesus is in between you and the punishment. When JESUS is, then,
the filth is washed and the punishment has been satisfied. You are now cleansed and wrapped in HIS Righteousness!!! Now you are Sealed with The HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD.
FOREVER CLEAN!!! FOREVER SEALED!!!
FOREVER A CHILD OF GOD!!!
NOTHING CAN COME BETWEEN YOU AND GOD EVER AGAIN!!!
