PERFECT

PERFECT

Have you ever hung a picture on your wall, stepped back to look at it, and it was crooked, but after more adjustments, you are satisfied with it, and you say "Perfect"? 

" Perfect" is a word we are all acquainted with, I'm sure. We all have our own idea of what "Perfect" means. I believe that people with OCD are people trying to be "Perfect", they are trying with all their might to reach "Perfection ", or their idea of  " Perfect". OCD is something that I'm acquainted with personally, I always tried to be 100% on everything I do, my idea of "Perfect " anyways, from cleaning to working outside my home, I had to be "Perfect". Why? Was it because of my raising or just a mental disorder that I've always had? I wasn't raised in an overly clean house. Why, then, am I like this? Was it because of never living up to a parent's expectations? Was it the feeling of not being good enough? Was it a personal feeling of being too short, too tall, fat, or skinny? Were my ears too big? Was my nose too small?  Was my family too poor, or even too rich? As you can tell there are many of us with these concerns, and any of these might be the reason, or so it may seem. Let us dig a little deeper into our feelings. As a Christian, I can now look at this in an honest fashion. The feeling of inadequacy was always with me. Why? Could it be a Spiritual problem? IF Spiritual, then, how? Could there be another force working on me, making me feel inadequate in everything so that I wouldn't be good at anything? Satan does work on us through our feelings, our weaknesses. We need to give our weaknesses to GOD. We need to know that our weaknesses can be a good thing, when we are weak then He is strong. We need to lean on Him and let His Holy Spirit do His work through us. I believe we are called by GOD for a specific job or purpose. I believe that if we have ourselves so beat down, believing that we cannot do anything well, then we have our eyes on ourselves, and not GOD, but on ourselves.  When we believe that we are doing our best and it's still not good enough, then we are trying to be "Perfect" in our own might, so stop trying. If "Perfection" is something we could have ever achieve for ourselves, then Jesus would have died in vain. Jesus is the only One that is "Perfect". People with OCD can walk into a spotless room and still see something wrong. People with OCD have a critical perception of everything, nothing is good enough. We need to know that we are His workmanship, GOD is working through us to do good works and He is conforming us into the image of His Son. He is perfecting us by His Word and by His Holy Spirit. We need to start seeing ourselves, the way the LORD sees us, and stop seeing ourselves, as inadequate. 

How does GOD see us, (1) Loved, JOHN 3:16a FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, (2) Saved, JOHN 3:17 FOR GOD SENT NOT HIS SON TO CONDEMN THE WORLD, BUT THAT THE WORLD THROUGH HIM MIGHT BE SAVED. (3) Washed, (4) Sanctified, (5) Justified, 1CORINTHIANS 6:11 AND SUCH WERE SOME OF YOU, BUT NOW YE ARE WASHED, BUT YE ARE SANCTIFIED, BUT YE ARE JUSTIFIED IN THE NAME OF JESUS, AND BY THE SPIRIT OF OUR GOD.(6) Temple of The HOLY GHOST, 1CORINTHIANS 6:19 WHAT? KNOW YE NOT THAT YOUR BODY IS THE TEMPLE OF THE HOLY GHOST WHICH IS IN YOU, WHICH YE HAVE OF GOD, AND YE ARE NOT YOUR OWN? (7) Sealed, EPHESIANS 1:13 IN WHOM YE TRUSTED, AFTER THAT YE HEARD THE WORD OF TRUTH, THE GOSPEL OF YOUR SALVATION, IN WHOM ALSO AFTER YE BELIEVED, YE WERE SEALED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT OF PROMISE. (8) Sealed Forever, EPHESIANS 4:30 AND GRIEVE NOT THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD, WHEREBY YE ARE SEALED UNTO THE DAY OF REMPTION. (9)   A Child of GOD, ROMANS 8:18 THE SPIRIT ITSELF BEARETH WITNESS WITH OUR SPIRIT, THAT WE ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD. (10) Forgiven, EPHESIANS 4:32 AND BE YE KIND ONE TO ANOTHER, TENDERHEARTED, FORGIVING ONE ANOTHER, EVEN AS GOD FOR CHRIST'S SAKE HATH FORGIVEN YOU. 

These are just a few, so I will end with this, change your way of thinking, you can, so do it. Think on good things

PHILIPPIANS 4:8 FINALLY, BRETHREN, WHATSOEVER THINGS THAT ARE TRUE, WHATSOEVER THINGS THAT ARE HONEST, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE JUST, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE PURE, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE LOVELY, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE OF GOOD REPORT, IF THERE BE ANY VIRTUE, AND IF THERE BE ANY PRAISE, THINK ON THESE THINGS. 

Think these things about yourself too, not only about others.
