PURIFYING THEIR HEARTS BY FAITH!!!

Acts 15:8-9 

And God, Which Knoweth The Hearts, Bare Them Witness, Giving Them The Holy Ghost, Even As He Did Unto Us; And Put No Difference Between Us And Them, PURIFYING THEIR HEARTS BY FAITH.

Acts 2:4-8 

And They Were All Filled With The Holy Ghost, And Began To Speak With Other Tongues, As The Spirit Gave Them Utterance. And There Were Dwelling At Jerusalem Jews, Devout Men, Out Of Every Nation Under Heaven. Now When This Was Noised Abroad, The Multitude Came Together, And Were Confounded, Because That Every Man Heard Them Speak In His Own Language. And They Were All Amazed And Marvelled, Saying One To Another, Behold, Are Not All These Which Speak Galilaeans? And How Hear We Every Man In Our Own Tongue, Wherein We Were Born?

People get into The Book Of Acts and get so involved in the speaking of tongues that they overlook the fact that THE HOLY SPIRIT CAME TO THOSE WHO HAVE THEIR HEARTS PURIFIED BY FAITH. Speaking in tongues were for a sign that The Holy Spirit had been sent from The Lord Jesus Christ, as He said He would. The fulfillment of His Promise That He Would Not Leave Us Comfortless. When The Holy Spirit came to the Gentile people as well as the Jewish we all become one in Christ Jesus. 

1 Corinthians 14:22 

Wherefore Tongues Are For A Sign, Not To Them That Believe, But To Them That Believe Not: But Prophesying Serveth Not For Them That Believe Not, But For Them Which Believe.

Romans 6:17-18,20,22 

But God Be Thanked, That Ye Were The Servants Of Sin, BUT YE HAVE OBEYED FROM THE HEART THAT FORM OF DOCTRINE WHICH WAS DELIVERED YOU. BEING THEN MADE FREE FROM SIN, YE BECAME THE SERVANTS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. 

[20] For When Ye Were The Servants Of Sin, Ye Were Free From Righteousness. 

[22] BUT NOW BEING MADE FREE FROM SIN, AND BECOME SERVANTS TO GOD, YE HAVE YOUR FRUIT UNTO HOLINESS, AND THE END EVERLASTING LIFE.

1 Peter 1:22-23 

SEEING YE HAVE PURIFIED YOUR SOULS IN OBEYING THE TRUTH THROUGH THE SPIRIT UNTO UNFEIGNED LOVE OF THE BRETHREN, SEE THAT YE LOVE ONE ANOTHER WITH A PURE HEART FERVENTLY: BEING BORN AGAIN, NOT OF CORRUPTIBLE SEED, BUT OF INCORRUPTIBLE, BY THE WORD OF GOD, WHICH LIVETH AND ABIDETH FOR EVER.

PURIFIED: having had contaminants removed; cleansed, free from guilt, to free from sin
