Grow Up In The Fruit

2 Peter 1:3-9 

According As His Divine Power Hath Given Unto Us All Things That Pertain Unto Life And Godliness, Through The Knowledge Of Him That Hath Called Us To Glory And Virtue: Whereby Are Given Unto Us Exceeding Great And Precious Promises: That By These Ye Might Be Partakers Of The Divine Nature, Having Escaped The Corruption That Is In The World Through Lust.

And Beside This, Giving All Diligence, Add To Your Faith Virtue; And To Virtue, Knowledge; And To Knowledge, Temperance; And To Temperance, Patience; And To Patience, Godliness; And To Godliness, Brotherly Kindness; And To Brotherly Kindness, Charity. For If These Things Be In You, And Abound, They Make You That Ye Shall Neither Be Barren Nor Unfruitful In The Knowledge Of Our Lord Jesus Christ. But He That Lacketh These Things Is Blind, And Cannot See Afar Off, And Hath Forgotten That He Was Purged From His Old Sins.

Galatians 5:22-25 

But The Fruit Of The Spirit Is Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness, Temperance: Against Such, There Is No Law. And They That Are Christ's Have Crucified The Flesh With The Affections And Lusts. If We Live In The Spirit, Let Us Also Walk In The Spirit.

1 Corinthians 3:1 

And I, Brethren, Could Not Speak Unto You As Unto Spiritual, But As Unto Carnal, Even As Unto Babes In Christ.

So many people received Gifts Of The Holy Spirit when they get Saved and immediately start believing they are more Spiritual than others. Speaking in tongues is a Gift, but we are not to use it to show others, we are to use our Spiritual Gifts to help others, to help them grow up in Christ Jesus. The Fruits Of The Spirit are for us to grow up personally, and the Gifts are for us to help others grow in the knowledge of Christ Jesus. Babes in Christ can use their Gifts in ignorance, and use them in error. Babes have milk knowledge and are using their Gifts without growing in the Fruit. Read Your Bible And Grow Up In The Fruit And The Knowledge Of Christ Jesus Then You Can Use Your Spiritual Gift To Edify Others.
