THAT YE MAY KNOW THAT YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE

THAT YE MAY KNOW THAT YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. 

I read a post today that just fired me up. I try to be patient, but I am not. I have very little tolerance for people that are calling themselves teachers of the Gospel but in reality, teach and preach in error. 

The post said," I'm asking God not to take His Hand away from me and my family". Now to some, that may sound good, but it is not Scripturally sound. I will tell you why. I know that some think this is petty, but where they got their statement from was The Old Testament. 

(1 Samuel 6:3 

And They Said, If Ye Send Away The Ark Of The God Of Israel, Send It Not Empty; But In Any Wise Return Him A Trespass Offering: Then Ye Shall Be Healed, And IT SHALL BE KNOWN TO YOU WHY HIS HAND IS NOT REMOVED FROM YOU.)

David also Prayed, in Psalm 51:11 

(Cast Me Not Away From Thy Presence; And Take Not Thy Holy Spirit From Me.)  

These were men of God, but they were looking forward to The Coming Of Christ, We Are Christians And Have Him. We Have His Holy Spirit Within Us Forever. The Bible says in 

Ephesians 1:13

In Whom Ye Also Trusted, After That Ye Heard The Word Of Truth, The Gospel Of Your Salvation: In Whom Also AFTER THAT YE BELIEVED, YE WERE SEALED WITH THAT HOLY SPIRIT OF PROMISE. 

Ephesians 4:30 

AND GRIEVE NOT THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD, WHEREBY YE ARE SEALED UNTO THE DAY OF REDEMPTION.

That is the problem with trying to mix The Old Testament With The New Testament. They had The Ark Of The Covenant, We Have JESUS THE NEW COVENANT. 

Hebrews 8:13 

In That He Saith, A NEW COVENANT, He Hath Made The First Old. Now That Which Decayeth And Waxeth Old Is Ready To Vanish Away.

Re-read This Scripture. 

In That He Saith, A NEW COVENANT, He Hath Made The First Old. Now That Which Decayeth And Waxeth Old Is Ready To Vanish Away. 

That Is Why The Bible Is Divided Into Two Parts, One Is Old And The One Is New. We are of The New Testament. We are Christians, not Jewish. We are not under The Law as they are. 

Romans 6:14

For Sin Shall Not Have Dominion Over You: FOR YE ARE NOT UNDER THE LAW, BUT UNDER GRACE.

We Are To Be Renewed In The Spirit Of Our Minds. 

Ephesians 4:23 And Be Renewed In The Spirit Of Your Mind;

When you are thinking that God will take His Hand away from you, then you do not have the confidence of your Salvation or Savior. 

Ephesians 3:11-12 

According To The Eternal Purpose Which He Purposed In Christ Jesus Our Lord: In Whom We Have Boldness And Access With Confidence By The Faith Of Him.

1 John 3:2-9 

Beloved, NOW ARE WE THE SONS OF GOD, And It Doth Not Yet Appear What We Shall Be: But We Know That, When He Shall Appear, We Shall Be Like Him; For We Shall See Him As He Is. And EVERY MAN THAT HATH THIS HOPE IN HIM PURIFIETH HIMSELF, EVEN AS HE IS PURE. Whosoever Committeth Sin Transgresseth Also The Law: For Sin Is The Transgression Of The Law. 1 John 2:26-29 

These Things Have I Written Unto You Concerning Them That Seduce You. But The Anointing Which Ye Have Received Of Him Abideth In You, And Ye Need Not That Any Man Teach You: But As The Same Anointing Teacheth You Of All Things, And Is Truth, And Is No Lie, And Even As It Hath Taught You, Ye Shall Abide In Him. And Now, Little Children, Abide In Him; That, When He Shall Appear, We May Have Confidence, And Not Be Ashamed Before Him At His Coming. If Ye Know That He Is Righteous, Ye Know That Every One That Doeth Righteousness Is Born Of Him.

Ephesians 4:14

That We Henceforth Be No More Children, Tossed To And Fro, And Carried About With Every Wind Of Doctrine, By The Sleight Of Men, And Cunning Craftiness, Whereby They Lie In Wait To Deceive;

WE ARE TO GROW UP SPIRITUALLY AND IN KNOWLEDGE. 

1 Corinthians 13:11

2 Peter 3:18 

But Grow In Grace, And In The Knowledge Of Our Lord And Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him Be Glory Both Now And For Ever. Amen.

1 John 5:13 

THESE THINGS HAVE I WRITTEN UNTO YOU THAT BELIEVE ON THE NAME OF THE SON OF GOD; THAT YE MAY KNOW THAT YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE, AND THAT YE MAY BELIEVE ON THE NAME OF THE SON OF GOD.
