PETER, JAMES, PAUL, AND THE LAW

Acts 15:1 There were certain men which came down from Judea, these certain men told the people they could not be saved unless they were circumcised after the manner of Moses.

Acts 15:2 Paul and Barnabas had No small dissension and disputation. {Argument}

Paul and Barnabas went with the men to Jerusalem to meet with The Apostles and Elders about The Law.

Acts15:4 They came to Jerusalem, they were received of the Apostles and the church

Acts 15:5:5 The sect of the Pharisees said, that the people had to be circumcised AND KEEP THE LAW OF MOSES. 

Acts 15:6 The Apostles met to consider this matter.

Acts 15:7 After much disputing, Peter said, That GOD chose the Gentiles as well as the Jews, by his mouth to hear The Gospel and believe.

Acts 15:8 GOD gave The HOLY GHOST to the Gentiles just like GOD gave The HOLY GHOST to the Jews.

Acts 15:9 GOD put no difference between Jews and Gentiles, GOD PURIFIED BOTH OF THEIR HEARTS, BY FAITH.

Acts 15:10 Peter also asked, why tempt ye GOD, to put a yoke upon the disciples, which their fathers nor they could keep.

Acts 15:11 We believe that through GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST SHALL BE SAVED.

Acts 15:13-18 James starts to speak on the matter of the Gentiles being saved through hearing Peter, fulfilling the Prophets.

Acts 15:19 James said for them not to bother the Gentiles.

Acts 15:20 James said for them to be taught,

1. To abstain from the pollution of idols

2. To abstain from fornication

3. Keep from strangled

4. From blood

Acts 15:21 James said this was read in the synagogues every sabbath

Acts 15:22 This speech of James made them all happy.

Acts 15:23 The Apostles wrote a letter to the people stating those were to be followed. 

Acts 15:24 The letter said, that the Apostles had heard, that supposedly they had sent certain men and they were saying that, you must be circumcised and keep the LAW OF MOSES to be saved, the letter stated that the certain men’s words were troubling and subverting the souls of the people. The letter said THEY WERE SUBVERTING THEIR SOULS. The letter also said that they gave NO such Commandment.

Subverting means toppling, overthrowing, destabilizing, wreaking havoc, damaging, perverting, defiling, depraving, contaminating, distorting, poison.

Acts 15:25-27 The letter said that they were assembled together and were of one accord and they were sending not only the letter, but also chosen men to come with Paul and Barnabas to speak with them, to settle this matter of circumcision and keeping The LAW of Moses.

Acts 15:28 This seemed good to The HOLY GHOST and to them, not to lay anymore burdens than these necessary things upon the Gentiles. The letter said if they keep these things, they will do well,

Acts 15:29 The letter said to, 

1. Abstain from meats offered to idols

2. Abstain from blood

3. Abstain from things strangled

4. Abstain from fornication

Acts 15:30 The chosen men from Jerusalem came to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas, and the multitude were gathered and the letter was read to them.

Acts 15:31 The multitude listen to what the Apostles said the Letter and rejoiced that the matter of circumcision and the KEEPING OF THE LAW OF MOSES WAS SETTLED.

Galatians 1:1 Paul tell the people, that he was an Apostle, not by men, but of Jesus Christ and GOD the Father

Galatians 1:2 Grace be to you and Peace FROM GOD THE FATHER AND FROM OUR LORD, JESUS CHRIST. Paul ALWAYS REASSURES the people of their GRACE AND PEACE FROM GOD THE FATHER AND THE LORD JESUS CHRIST in his letters.

Galatians 1:6&7 Paul said he marveled how soon they were removed from HIM THAT CALLED THEM INTO THE GRACE UNTO ANOTHER GOSPEL, WHICH IS NOT ANOTHER GOSPEL, but they were listening to people whose words were troubling, they were perverting the Gospel Of Christ. 

Galatians 1:8&9 Paul said, if they or, an Angel from Heaven, said any other Gospel than GRACE OF JESUS CHRIST, let them be accursed.

Galatians 1:11&12 Paul certifies that The GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST, that he teaches came from GOD, and not men. Paul said he was taught by the revelation of Jesus Christ; he was not taught by man.

Galatians 1:13&14 Paul said to the people of Galatia, you have heard about his past conversation in the Jews Religion, how beyond measure He persecuted the Church of GOD and wasted it. He told the people that he prospered in the Jews Religion above many of his equals. Paul said he was exceedingly zealous of the traditions of his fathers.

Galatians 1:15-19 Paul said when it pleased GOD who separated him from the womb of his mother, CALLED HIM BY HIS GRACE. GOD REVEALED HIS SON in me, to preach to the heathen. Paul did not go see any man, not even to talk to the Apostles, he went to Arabia, then he came back to Damascus, and then after three years, he went to Jerusalem to talk to the Apostles. Paul stayed with Peter and he also saw James the LORD’S brother.

Galatians 2:1 After fourteen years Paul went to Jerusalem with Barnabas and they took Titus.

Galatians 2:2 Paul went by revelation, and communicated unto them the Gospel that he teaches to the Gentiles. He spoke privately with the men of reputation, Peter, James and the Elders of the Church.

Galatians 2:3-5 Titus was Greek, so he was not circumcised, men whom Paul called the false brethren, came and spied on Titus, when they saw he was not circumcised, they went to stir up trouble, Paul said they were trying to take away their liberty they have in Christ Jesus and bring them into bondage. Paul did not give place to the false brethren, by discussing the matter, for even one hour. Paul wanted The Grace, THE GOSPEL, and THE TRUTH OF JESUS, WHO IS THE CHRIST to continue with them.

Galatians 2:7-10 They all shook hands and agreed that Peter would stay in Jerusalem, and preach to the circumcision, and Paul would go to the heathen and remember the poor.

Galatians 2:11-13 Peter came to Antioch, he ate and drank with the Gentiles, but after men from James came Peter withdrew and separated himself from the Gentiles, fearing the men of circumcision, from James. Peter’s actions caused even Barnabas to was carried away with their dissimulation.

Dissimulation means the concealment of one's thoughts or feelings

Galatians 2:11,14 Paul confronted Peter about his actions, of his not walking uprightly, according to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Paul told Peter in front of them all, that Peter being a JEW is living in the liberty of the Gentiles, why should the Jew want the Gentiles to live according to the JEWS RELIGION. Paul asked Peter if he didn’t live under the LAW OF MOSES, then why compel the Gentiles to do so?

Galatians 2:15,17 Paul asked Peter how does our being JEWS keep us from being sinners like the Gentiles are, since we all believe in Justification through Faith in Christ Jesus?

Galatians 2:16 Paul said, that Peter knew that man was not Justified by the works of the LAW, but by FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST, NOT OF THE WORKS OF THE LAW, WHICH NO FLESH SHALL BE JUSTIFIED.

Galatians 2:17 Paul said, we {JEWS} seek to be Justified by Faith in Christ, then we ourselves are found sinners, Is Christ the minister of sin? GOD FORBID!!!

Galatians 2:18-20 Paul starts defining Faith to Peter and all of the people there. Paul tells them that he is crucified with Christ, Paul said, if he rebuilds the things which he has destroyed, then, that would make him a transgressor. 

Transgressor means a person who breaks the LAW or moral rule.

Paul’s FAITH is in the Crucifixion of JESUS THE CHRIST, not in his own works of the LAW OF MOSES.  Paul said, it is Christ living in him, and the life he lives in the flesh, he lives by FAITH OF THE SON OF GOD, WHO LOVES US AND GAVE HIMSELF FOR US.

Galatians 2:21 Paul said he does not frustrate the GRACE OF GOD, for if his righteousness come by the LAW, then CHRIST DIED IN VAIN.

Galatians 3:1 Paul calls the Galatians foolish, for not obeying the truth in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 3:2 Paul asked the Galatians if they received the SPIRIT by the works of the LAW, or by the hearing of FAITH?

Galatians 3:5 Paul asked the Galatians if The ONE that ministered to them the Spirit, and worked miracles among them, was it by the LAW or by the hearing of FAITH?

Galatians 3:6-8 Paul tells the Galatians that Abraham believed GOD, and it was accounted to him for Righteousness. Abraham had FAITH.

Righteousness means the quality of being morally justifiable, free of guilt or sin according 

Justifiable means able to be shown to be right, capable to be made just, defensible

Galatians 3:10-13 Paul said anyone that wants to live by the LAW has to keep every point of it, every jot and tittle, if you don’t then the curse is upon them. Jesus Christ took even the curse of the LAW on HIMSELF, being hung on the tree.  Jesus Christ Redeemed us from the curse of the LAW.

Galatians 3:14 Paul said the blessing of Abraham is on the Gentiles too, through Christ Jesus, and that we may receive the promise of the Spirit through FAITH.

Galatians 3:15 Paul starts this quote by telling people, that he speaks as the manner of men {Paul does this from time to time throughout his letters, he will differentiate between being man, flesh, or Spirit.} The covenant may be a man's covenant, if it is confirmed, no man can disannul or add anything to it.  

Galatians 3:16 GOD made a Covenant with Abraham, the Promise of the Seed, and The Seed Is Christ Jesus. The LAW was not The Covenant, the LAW was four hundred and thirty years after GOD gave HIS Promise to Abraham, and the LAW and the LAW cannot disannul, The Seed Of The Promise, The True Covenant. Abraham would also be the father of many nations; we know these as the JEWS and Gentiles.

Galatians 3:19 Paul asked why the LAW then, because of transgressions, UNTIL THE SEED COMES.

Galatians 3:20 GOD IS THE MEDIATOR

Mediator means One who attempts to make PEACE in a conflict.

Galatians 3:21 Paul asked is The LAW then against the Promise of GOD? GOD FORBID!!! Paul said if there had been a LAW given that could have given LIFE, then, True RIGHTEOUSNESS, would have come by the LAW. RIGHTEOUSNESS IS NOT OF The LAW!!! 

Galatians 3:22&23 Paul said the Scripture hath concluded all are under SIN, THAT THE PROMISE BY FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST, MIGHT COME TO THOSE THAT BELIEVE. BEFORE FAITH CAME, we were kept under the LAW, to FAITH which shall come afterwards.

Galatians 3:24 Paul calls the LAW a schoolmaster, bringing us to Christ through FAITH. BUT AFTER FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS CAME, WE ARE NO LONGER UNDER OUR SCHOOLMASTER.

Galatians 3:26-29 FOR BY FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS, WE HAVE BECOME CHILDREN OF GOD. FOR THOSE THAT HAVE BEEN BAPTIZED INTO CHRIST, HAVE PUT ON CHRIST JESUS. WE ARE ALL ONE IN HIM, HEIRS OF THE PROMISE, OF THE SEED OF ABRAHAM, THE COVENANT THAT CANNOT BE DISANNULED. 

Galatians 4:1-5 Even though we were children, we were the same as servants, under a tutor, UNTIL the time appointed of The Father, we were under the bondage, under the elements of the world. {When} the Fulness of time come

 GOD sent forth JESUS born of a woman made under The LAW, [TO] REDEEM THEM THAT ARE UNDER THE LAW!!!

Redeem means to compensate for faults, buyback, regain possession by payment

Galatians 4:6 And because we are children GOD HATH SENT THE SPIRIT OF SON INTO OUR HEARTS!!!

Galatians 4:9 Paul asked, Now that we are Heirs and joint heirs with JESUS, why do we want to go back into BONDAGE? Paul refers to the LAW as bondage

Galatians 4:21-30 Tell me those of you that desire to be under The LAW, do you not hear what it says, you would be of the bondwoman, NOT of the FREEWOMAN, where Jesus by The Promise, The Covenant.

Galatians 4:30 So then brethren, WE ARE NOT OF THE CHILDREN OF THE BONDWOMAN, BUT OF THE FREE!!!

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast in the Liberty wherewith CHRIST HAS MADE US FREE, AND BE NOT ENTANGLED AGAIN WITH THE YOLK OF BONDAGE!!!

Galatians 5: 3 Ye that are circumcised, are indebted to do the whole LAW.

Galatians 5:4 CHRIST HAS BECOME OF NO EFFECT UNTO YOU, WHOSOEVER OF YOU ARE JUSTIFIED, BY THE LAW, YE HAVE FALLEN FROM GRACE!!!
