INFLUENCES 

Have you ever noticed how the things that you look at online influence your ads and all the stories that pop up? If you look up a lawn mower all of your ads after will be mowers. If you read a story on cancer the rest of the stories that come up will be about cancer. That's how media and advertising work. They feed your likes, they even have little buttons to press if you want to see more or less of something. They work hand in hand. If you watch someone clean their home they will use items that can be bought and before you know it you are flooded with ads from that site. That is why it is important to be mindful of what you read and watch. You can easily be sucked into a spiral of despair. If you are slightly unhappy with your home, and you see all of these new homes being cleaned the next thing you know your home is not enough. You need more gadgets and storage bins, (that you have done without forever) but now you need them. I know, just look inside my cabinets. You watch people cook and now you want a chef's kitchen. I can make fried pork chops but now I want a vent hood that would suck the top of my roof off. 

I said all of that to say this, don't be distracted by the world and its fascinations; keep your minds and hearts fixed on Jesus Christ. All of the things in this world will perish and will not help us when He comes to receive His own. Don't let the distractions of this life make you miss The Mark And Lose Your Prize. Don't let the riches of the world keep you from Pressing Toward The High Calling. I hate to say this but we women are easier to be led astray, be watchful over your soul. 

REMEMBER TO LET THE BIBLE THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT BE YOUR INFLUENCER, INSTEAD OF THE WORLD AND ITS' ADS. 

2 Timothy 3:4-7 

Traitors, Heady, Highminded, Lovers Of Pleasures More Than Lovers Of God; Having A Form Of Godliness, But Denying The Power Thereof: From Such Turn Away. For Of This Sort Are They Which Creep Into Houses, And Lead Captive Silly Women Laden With Sins, Led Away With Divers Lusts, Ever Learning, And Never Able To Come To The Knowledge Of The Truth.

Matthew 13:22-23 

He Also That Received Seed Among The Thorns Is He That Heareth The Word; And The Care Of This World, And The Deceitfulness Of Riches, Choke The Word, And He Becometh Unfruitful. But He That Received Seed Into The Good Ground Is He That Heareth The Word, And Understandeth It; Which Also Beareth Fruit, And Bringeth Forth, Some An Hundredfold, Some Sixty, Some Thirty.

1 Timothy 6:17-19 

Charge Them That Are Rich In This World, That They Be Not Highminded, Nor Trust In Uncertain Riches, But In The Living God, Who Giveth Us Richly All Things To Enjoy; That They Do Good, That They Be Rich In Good Works, Ready To Distribute, Willing To Communicate; Laying Up In Store For Themselves A Good Foundation Against The Time To Come, That They May Lay Hold On Eternal Life.

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 

Know Ye Not That They Which Run In A Race Run All, But One Receiveth The Prize? So Run, That Ye May Obtain. And Every Man That Striveth For The Mastery Is Temperate In All Things. Now They Do It To Obtain A Corruptible Crown; But We An Incorruptible. Philippians 3:14-15 

I Press Toward The Mark For The Prize Of The High Calling Of God In Christ Jesus. Let Us Therefore, As Many As Be Perfect, Be Thus Minded: And If In Any Thing Ye Be Otherwise Minded, God Shall Reveal Even This Unto You.
