WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH

WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH

Acts 17:23-33
For As I Passed By, And Beheld Your Devotions, I Found An Altar With This Inscription, To The Unknown God. Whom Therefore Ye Ignorantly Worship, Him Declare I Unto You. God That Made The World And All Things Therein, Seeing That He Is Lord Of Heaven And Earth, Dwelleth Not In Temples Made With Hands; Neither Is Worshipped With Men's Hands, As Though He Needed Any Thing, Seeing He Giveth To All Life, And Breath, And All Things; And Hath Made Of One Blood All Nations Of Men For To Dwell On All The Face Of The Earth, And Hath Determined The Times Before Appointed, And The Bounds Of Their Habitation; That They Should Seek The Lord, If Haply They Might Feel After Him, And Find Him, Though He Be Not Far From Every One Of Us: For In Him We Live, And Move, And Have Our Being; As Certain Also Of Your Own Poets Have Said, For We Are Also His Offspring. Forasmuch Then As We Are The Offspring Of God, We Ought Not To Think That The Godhead Is Like Unto Gold, Or Silver, Or Stone, Graven By Art And Man's Device. And The Times Of This Ignorance God Winked At; But Now Commandeth All Men Every Where To Repent: Because He Hath Appointed A Day, In The Which He Will Judge The World In Righteousness By That Man Whom He Hath Ordained; Whereof He Hath Given Assurance Unto All Men, In That He Hath Raised Him From The Dead. And When They Heard Of The Resurrection Of The Dead, Some Mocked: And Others Said, We Will Hear Thee Again Of This Matter. So Paul Departed From Among Them.

Colossians 2:2-23
That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ. As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God. Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, (Touch not; taste not; handle not; Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

John 4:21-24
Jesus Saith Unto Her, Woman, Believe Me, The Hour Cometh, When Ye Shall Neither In This Mountain, Nor Yet At Jerusalem, Worship The Father. Ye Worship Ye Know Not What: We Know What We Worship: For Salvation Is Of The Jews. But The Hour Cometh, And Now Is, When The True Worshippers Shall Worship The Father In Spirit And In Truth: For The Father Seeketh Such To Worship Him. God Is A Spirit: And They That Worship Him Must Worship Him In Spirit And In Truth.

People Still Want To Worship God Ignorantly; They Would Rather Have A Gold Statue Instead Of Worshiping In Spirit And In Truth.

The Father Seeketh Such To Worship Him. God Is A Spirit: And They That Worship Him Must WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH.
