Ephesians 2:8-10
For By Grace Are Ye Saved Through Faith; And That Not Of Yourselves: It Is The Gift Of God: Not Of Works, Lest Any Man Should Boast. For We Are His Workmanship, Created In Christ Jesus Unto Good Works, Which God Hath Before Ordained That We Should Walk In Them.
Colossians 2:6-23,3:1-12
AS YE HAVE THEREFORE RECEIVED CHRIST JESUS THE LORD, SO WALK YE IN HIM: ROOTED AND BUILT UP IN HIM, AND STABLISHED IN THE FAITH, As Ye Have Been Taught, Abounding Therein With Thanksgiving. Beware Lest Any Man Spoil You Through Philosophy And Vain Deceit, After The Tradition Of Men, After The Rudiments Of The World, And Not After Christ. For In Him Dwelleth All The Fulness Of The Godhead Bodily. And Ye Are Complete In Him, Which Is The Head Of All Principality And Power: In Whom Also Ye Are Circumcised With The Circumcision Made Without Hands, In Putting Off The Body Of The Sins Of The Flesh By The Circumcision Of Christ: Buried With Him In Baptism, Wherein Also Ye Are Risen With Him Through The Faith Of The Operation Of God, Who Hath Raised Him From The Dead. And You, Being Dead In Your Sins And The Uncircumcision Of Your Flesh, Hath He Quickened Together With Him, Having Forgiven You All Trespasses; Blotting Out The Handwriting Of Ordinances That Was Against Us, Which Was Contrary To Us, And Took It Out Of The Way, Nailing It To His Cross; And Having Spoiled Principalities And Powers, He Made A Shew Of Them Openly, Triumphing Over Them In It. Let No Man Therefore Judge You In Meat, Or In Drink, Or In Respect Of An Holyday, Or Of The New Moon, Or Of The Sabbath Days: Which Are A Shadow Of Things To Come; But The Body Is Of Christ. Let No Man Beguile You Of Your Reward In A Voluntary Humility And Worshipping Of Angels, Intruding Into Those Things Which He Hath Not Seen, Vainly Puffed Up By His Fleshly Mind, And Not Holding The Head, From Which All The Body By Joints And Bands Having Nourishment Ministered, And Knit Together, Increaseth With The Increase Of God. Wherefore If Ye Be Dead With Christ From The Rudiments Of The World, Why, As Though Living In The World, Are Ye Subject To Ordinances, (Touch Not; Taste Not; Handle Not; Which All Are To Perish With The Using;) After The Commandments And Doctrines Of Men? Which Things Have Indeed A Shew Of Wisdom In Will Worship, And Humility, And Neglecting Of The Body; Not In Any Honour To The Satisfying Of The Flesh.
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
Romans 6:3-23
Know Ye Not, That So Many Of Us As Were Baptized Into Jesus Christ Were Baptized Into His Death? Therefore We Are Buried With Him By Baptism Into Death: That Like As Christ Was Raised Up From The Dead By The Glory Of The Father, Even So We Also Should Walk In Newness Of Life. For If We Have Been Planted Together In The Likeness Of His Death, We Shall Be Also In The Likeness Of His Resurrection: Knowing This, That Our Old Man Is Crucified With Him, That The Body Of Sin Might Be Destroyed, That Henceforth We Should Not Serve Sin. For He That Is Dead Is Freed From Sin. Now If We Be Dead With Christ, We Believe That We Shall Also Live With Him: Knowing That Christ Being Raised From The Dead Dieth No More; Death Hath No More Dominion Over Him. For In That He Died, He Died Unto Sin Once: But In That He Liveth, He Liveth Unto God. Likewise Reckon Ye Also Yourselves To Be Dead Indeed Unto Sin, But Alive Unto God Through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Let Not Sin Therefore Reign In Your Mortal Body, That Ye Should Obey It In The Lusts Thereof. Neither Yield Ye Your Members As Instruments Of Unrighteousness Unto Sin: But Yield Yourselves Unto God, As Those That Are Alive From The Dead, And Your Members As Instruments Of Righteousness Unto God. For Sin Shall Not Have Dominion Over You: For Ye Are Not Under The Law, But Under Grace. What Then? Shall We Sin, Because We Are Not Under The Law, But Under Grace? God Forbid. Know Ye Not, That To Whom Ye Yield Yourselves Servants To Obey, His Servants Ye Are To Whom Ye Obey; Whether Of Sin Unto Death, Or Of Obedience Unto Righteousness? But God Be Thanked, That Ye Were The Servants Of Sin, But Ye Have Obeyed From The Heart That Form Of Doctrine Which Was Delivered You. Being Then Made Free From Sin, Ye Became The Servants Of Righteousness. I Speak After The Manner Of Men Because Of The Infirmity Of Your Flesh: For As Ye Have Yielded Your Members Servants To Uncleanness And To Iniquity Unto Iniquity; Even So Now Yield Your Members Servants To Righteousness Unto Holiness. For When Ye Were The Servants Of Sin, Ye Were Free From Righteousness. What Fruit Had Ye Then In Those Things Whereof Ye Are Now Ashamed? For The End Of Those Things Is Death. But Now Being Made Free From Sin, And Become Servants To God, Ye Have Your Fruit Unto Holiness, And The End Everlasting Life. For The Wages Of Sin Is Death; But The Gift Of God Is Eternal Life Through Jesus Christ Our Lord.
Ephesians 6:10-18
Finally, My Brethren, Be Strong In The Lord, And In The Power Of His Might. Put On The Whole Armour Of God, That Ye May Be Able To Stand Against The Wiles Of The Devil. For We Wrestle Not Against Flesh And Blood, But Against Principalities, Against Powers, Against The Rulers Of The Darkness Of This World, Against Spiritual Wickedness In High Places. Wherefore Take Unto You The Whole Armour Of God, That Ye May Be Able To Withstand In The Evil Day, And Having Done All, To Stand. Stand Therefore, Having Your Loins Girt About With Truth, And Having On The Breastplate Of Righteousness; And Your Feet Shod With The Preparation Of The Gospel Of Peace; Above All, Taking The Shield Of Faith, Wherewith Ye Shall Be Able To Quench All The Fiery Darts Of The Wicked. And Take The Helmet Of Salvation, And The Sword Of The Spirit, Which Is The Word Of God: Praying Always With All Prayer And Supplication In The Spirit, And Watching Thereunto With All Perseverance And Supplication For All Saints;
