RIGHTEOUS-MORALLY UPRIGHT; WITHOUT GUILT OR SIN
Deuteronomy 11:26-28
Behold, I Set Before You This Day A Blessing And A Curse; A Blessing, If Ye Obey The Commandments Of The Lord Your God, Which I Command You This Day: And A Curse, If Ye Will Not Obey The Commandments Of The Lord Your God, But Turn Aside Out Of The Way Which I Command You This Day, To Go After Other Gods, Which Ye Have Not Known.
Exodus 20:3-17
(1) THOU SHALT HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME.
(2) THOU SHALT NOT MAKE UNTO THEE ANY GRAVEN IMAGE, OR ANY LIKENESS OF ANY THING THAT IS IN HEAVEN ABOVE, OR THAT IS IN THE EARTH BENEATH, OR THAT IS IN THE WATER UNDER THE EARTH: THOU SHALT NOT BOW DOWN THYSELF TO THEM, NOR SERVE THEM: FOR I THE LORD THY GOD AM A JEALOUS GOD, VISITING THE INIQUITY OF THE FATHERS UPON THE CHILDREN UNTO THE THIRD AND FOURTH GENERATION OF THEM THAT HATE ME; AND SHEWING MERCY UNTO THOUSANDS OF THEM THAT LOVE ME, AND KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS.
(3) THOU SHALT NOT TAKE THE NAME OF THE LORD THY GOD IN VAIN; FOR THE LORD WILL NOT HOLD HIM GUILTLESS THAT TAKETH HIS NAME IN VAIN.
(4) REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY, TO KEEP IT HOLY. SIX DAYS SHALT THOU LABOUR, AND DO ALL THY WORK: BUT THE SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH OF THE LORD THY GOD: IN IT THOU SHALT NOT DO ANY WORK, THOU, NOR THY SON, NOR THY DAUGHTER, THY MANSERVANT, NOR THY MAIDSERVANT, NOR THY CATTLE, NOR THY STRANGER THAT IS WITHIN THY GATES: FOR IN SIX DAYS THE LORD MADE HEAVEN AND EARTH, THE SEA, AND ALL THAT IN THEM IS, AND RESTED THE SEVENTH DAY: WHEREFORE THE LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH DAY, AND HALLOWED IT.
(5) HONOUR THY FATHER AND THY MOTHER: THAT THY DAYS MAY BE LONG UPON THE LAND WHICH THE LORD THY GOD GIVETH THEE.
(6) THOU SHALT NOT KILL.
(7) THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY.
(8) THOU SHALT NOT STEAL.
(9) THOU SHALT NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS AGAINST THY NEIGHBOUR.
(10) THOU SHALT NOT COVET THY NEIGHBOUR'S HOUSE, THOU SHALT NOT COVET THY NEIGHBOUR'S WIFE, NOR HIS MANSERVANT, NOR HIS MAIDSERVANT, NOR HIS OX, NOR HIS ASS, NOR ANY THING THAT IS THY NEIGHBOUR'S.
1 Timothy 1:7-15
Desiring To Be Teachers Of The Law; Understanding Neither What They Say, Nor Whereof They Affirm. But We Know That The Law Is Good, If A Man Use It Lawfully; Knowing This, That The Law Is Not Made For A Righteous Man, But For The Lawless And Disobedient, For The Ungodly And For Sinners, For Unholy And Profane, For Murderers Of Fathers And Murderers Of Mothers, For Manslayers, For Whoremongers, For Them That Defile Themselves With Mankind, For Menstealers, For Liars, For Perjured Persons, And If There Be Any Other Thing That Is Contrary To Sound Doctrine; According To The Glorious Gospel Of The Blessed God, Which Was Committed To My Trust. And I Thank Christ Jesus Our Lord, Who Hath Enabled Me, For That He Counted Me Faithful, Putting Me Into The Ministry; Who Was Before A Blasphemer, And A Persecutor, And Injurious: But I Obtained Mercy, Because I Did It Ignorantly In Unbelief. And The Grace Of Our Lord Was Exceeding Abundant With Faith And Love Which Is In Christ Jesus. This Is A Faithful Saying, And Worthy Of All Acceptation, That Christ Jesus Came Into The World To Save Sinners; Of Whom I Am Chief.
Romans 10:1-13
Brethren, My Heart's Desire And Prayer To God For Israel Is, That They Might Be Saved. For I Bear Them Record That They Have A Zeal Of God, But Not According To Knowledge. For They Being Ignorant Of God's Righteousness, And Going About To Establish Their Own Righteousness, Have Not Submitted Themselves Unto The Righteousness Of God. For Christ Is The End Of The Law For Righteousness To Every One That Believeth. For Moses Describeth The Righteousness Which Is Of The Law, That The Man Which Doeth Those Things Shall Live By Them. But The Righteousness Which Is Of Faith Speaketh On This Wise, Say Not In Thine Heart, Who Shall Ascend Into Heaven? (That Is, To Bring Christ Down From Above:) Or, Who Shall Descend Into The Deep? (That Is, To Bring Up Christ Again From The Dead.) But What Saith It? The Word Is Nigh Thee, Even In Thy Mouth, And In Thy Heart: That Is, The Word Of Faith, Which We Preach; That If Thou Shalt Confess With Thy Mouth The Lord Jesus, And Shalt Believe In Thine Heart That God Hath Raised Him From The Dead, Thou Shalt Be Saved. For With The Heart Man Believeth Unto Righteousness; And With The Mouth Confession Is Made Unto Salvation. For The Scripture Saith, Whosoever Believeth On Him Shall Not Be Ashamed. For There Is No Difference Between The Jew And The Greek: For The Same Lord Over All Is Rich Unto All That Call Upon Him. For Whosoever Shall Call Upon The Name Of The Lord Shall Be Saved.
Galatians 3:1-14
O Foolish Galatians, Who Hath Bewitched You, That Ye Should Not Obey The Truth, Before Whose Eyes Jesus Christ Hath Been Evidently Set Forth, Crucified Among You? This Only Would I Learn Of You, Received Ye The Spirit By The Works Of The Law, Or By The Hearing Of Faith? Are Ye So Foolish? Having Begun In The Spirit, Are Ye Now Made Perfect By The Flesh? Have Ye Suffered So Many Things In Vain? If It Be Yet In Vain. He Therefore That Ministereth To You The Spirit, And Worketh Miracles Among You, Doeth He It By The Works Of The Law, Or By The Hearing Of Faith? Even As Abraham Believed God, And It Was Accounted To Him For Righteousness. Know Ye Therefore That They Which Are Of Faith, The Same Are The Children Of Abraham. And The Scripture, Foreseeing That God Would Justify The Heathen Through Faith, Preached Before The Gospel Unto Abraham, Saying, In Thee Shall All Nations Be Blessed. So Then They Which Be Of Faith Are Blessed With Faithful Abraham. For As Many As Are Of The Works Of The Law Are Under The Curse: For It Is Written, Cursed Is Every One That Continueth Not In All Things Which Are Written In The Book Of The Law To Do Them. But That No Man Is Justified By The Law In The Sight Of God, It Is Evident: For, The Just Shall Live By Faith. And The Law Is Not Of Faith: But, The Man That Doeth Them Shall Live In Them. Christ Hath Redeemed Us From The Curse Of The Law, Being Made A Curse For Us: For It Is Written, Cursed Is Every One That Hangeth On A Tree: That The Blessing Of Abraham Might Come On The Gentiles Through Jesus Christ; That We Might Receive The Promise Of The Spirit Through Faith.
Romans 8:1-16
There Is Therefore Now No Condemnation To Them Which Are In Christ Jesus, Who Walk Not After The Flesh, But After The Spirit. For The Law Of The Spirit Of Life In Christ Jesus Hath Made Me Free From The Law Of Sin And Death. For What The Law Could Not Do, In That It Was Weak Through The Flesh, God Sending His Own Son In The Likeness Of Sinful Flesh, And For Sin, Condemned Sin In The Flesh: That The Righteousness Of The Law Might Be Fulfilled In Us, Who Walk Not After The Flesh, But After The Spirit. For They That Are After The Flesh Do Mind The Things Of The Flesh; But They That Are After The Spirit The Things Of The Spirit. For To Be Carnally Minded Is Death; But To Be Spiritually Minded Is Life And Peace. Because The Carnal Mind Is Enmity Against God: For It Is Not Subject To The Law Of God, Neither Indeed Can Be. So Then They That Are In The Flesh Cannot Please God. But Ye Are Not In The Flesh, But In The Spirit, If So Be That The Spirit Of God Dwell In You. Now If Any Man Have Not The Spirit Of Christ, He Is None Of His. And If Christ Be In You, The Body Is Dead Because Of Sin; But The Spirit Is Life Because Of Righteousness. But If The Spirit Of Him That Raised Up Jesus From The Dead Dwell In You, He That Raised Up Christ From The Dead Shall Also Quicken Your Mortal Bodies By His Spirit That Dwelleth In You. Therefore, Brethren, We Are Debtors, Not To The Flesh, To Live After The Flesh. For If Ye Live After The Flesh, Ye Shall Die: But If Ye Through The Spirit Do Mortify The Deeds Of The Body, Ye Shall Live. For As Many As Are Led By The Spirit Of God, They Are The Sons Of God. For Ye Have Not Received The Spirit Of Bondage Again To Fear; But Ye Have Received The Spirit Of Adoption, Whereby We Cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit Itself Beareth Witness With Our Spirit, That We Are The Children Of God:
Romans 6:1-23
What Shall We Say Then? Shall We Continue In Sin, That Grace May Abound? God Forbid. How Shall We, That Are Dead To Sin, Live Any Longer Therein? Know Ye Not, That So Many Of Us As Were Baptized Into Jesus Christ Were Baptized Into His Death Therefore We Are Buried With Him By Baptism Into Death: That Like As Christ Was Raised Up From The Dead By The Glory Of The Father, Even So We Also Should Walk In Newness Of Life. For If We Have Been Planted Together In The Likeness Of His Death, We Shall Be Also In The Likeness Of His Resurrection: Knowing This, That Our Old Man Is Crucified With Him, That The Body Of Sin Might Be Destroyed, That Henceforth We Should Not Serve Sin. For He That Is Dead Is Freed From Sin. Now If We Be Dead With Christ, We Believe That We Shall Also Live With Him: Knowing That Christ Being Raised From The Dead Dieth No More; Death Hath No More Dominion Over Him. For In That He Died, He Died Unto Sin Once: But In That He Liveth, He Liveth Unto God. Likewise Reckon Ye Also Yourselves To Be Dead Indeed Unto Sin, But Alive Unto God Through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Let Not Sin Therefore Reign In Your Mortal Body, That Ye Should Obey It In The Lusts Thereof. Neither Yield Ye Your Members As Instruments Of Unrighteousness Unto Sin: But Yield Yourselves Unto God, As Those That Are Alive From The Dead, And Your Members As Instruments Of Righteousness Unto God. For Sin Shall Not Have Dominion Over You: For Ye Are Not Under The Law, But Under Grace. What Then? Shall We Sin, Because We Are Not Under The Law, But Under Grace? God Forbid. Know Ye Not, That To Whom Ye Yield Yourselves Servants To Obey, His Servants Ye Are To Whom Ye Obey; Whether Of Sin Unto Death, Or Of Obedience Unto Righteousness? But God Be Thanked, That Ye Were The Servants Of Sin, But Ye Have Obeyed From The Heart That Form Of Doctrine Which Was Delivered You. Being Then Made Free From Sin, Ye Became The Servants Of Righteousness. I Speak After The Manner Of Men Because Of The Infirmity Of Your Flesh: For As Ye Have Yielded Your Members Servants To Uncleanness And To Iniquity Unto Iniquity; Even So Now Yield Your Members Servants To Righteousness Unto Holiness. For When Ye Were The Servants Of Sin, Ye Were Free From Righteousness. What Fruit Had Ye Then In Those Things Whereof Ye Are Now Ashamed? For The End Of Those Things Is Death. But Now Being Made Free From Sin, And Become Servants To God, Ye Have Your Fruit Unto Holiness, And The End Everlasting Life. For The Wages Of Sin Is Death, But The Gift Of God Is Eternal Life Through Jesus Christ Our Lord.
Do You Want To Be Responsible For Your Own Righteousness? Do You Think That You Could Get Past The First Command?
PRAISE THE LORD FOR JESUS CHRIST AND HIS PERFECT SACRIFICE!
Ephesians 2:8-10
For By Grace Are Ye Saved Through Faith; And That Not Of Yourselves: It Is The Gift Of God: Not Of Works, Lest Any Man Should Boast. For We Are His Workmanship, Created In Christ Jesus Unto Good Works, Which God Hath Before Ordained That We Should Walk In Them.
