John 3:5-12
Jesus Answered, Verily, Verily, I Say Unto Thee, Except A Man Be Born Of Water And Of The Spirit, He Cannot Enter Into The Kingdom Of God. That Which Is Born Of The Flesh Is Flesh; And That Which Is Born Of The Spirit Is Spirit. Marvel Not That I Said Unto Thee, Ye Must Be Born Again. The Wind Bloweth Where It Listeth, And Thou Hearest The Sound Thereof, But Canst Not Tell Whence It Cometh, And Whither It Goeth: So Is Every One That Is Born Of The Spirit. Nicodemus Answered And Said Unto Him, How can these things Be? Jesus Answered And Said Unto Him, Art Thou A Master Of Israel, And Knowest Not These Things? Verily, Verily, I Say Unto Thee, We Speak That We Do Know, And Testify That We Have Seen; And Ye Receive Not Our Witness. If I Have Told You Earthly Things, And Ye Believe Not, How Shall Ye Believe, If I Tell You Of Heavenly Things?
Ezekiel 36:26-27
A New Heart Also Will I Give You, And A New Spirit Will I Put Within You: And I Will Take Away The Stony Heart Out Of Your Flesh, And I Will Give You An Heart Of Flesh. And I Will Put MY SPIRIT WITHIN YOU, And Cause You To Walk In My Statutes, And Ye Shall Keep My Judgments, And Do Them.
2 Corinthians 3:3-12
Forasmuch As Ye Are Manifestly Declared To Be The Epistle Of Christ Ministered By Us, Written Not With Ink, But With The Spirit Of The Living God; Not In Tables Of Stone, But In Fleshy Tables Of The Heart. And Such Trust Have We Through Christ To God-ward: Not That We Are Sufficient Of Ourselves To Think Any Thing As Of Ourselves; But Our Sufficiency Is Of God; Who Also Hath Made Us Able Ministers Of The New Testament; Not Of The Letter, But Of The Spirit: For The Letter Killeth, But The Spirit Giveth Life. But If The Ministration Of Death, Written And Engraven In Stones, Was Glorious, So That The Children Of Israel Could Not Stedfastly Behold The Face Of Moses For The Glory Of His Countenance; Which Glory Was To Be Done Away: How Shall Not The Ministration Of The Spirit Be Rather Glorious? For If The Ministration Of Condemnation Be Glory, Much More Doth The Ministration Of Righteousness Exceed In Glory. For Even That Which Was Made Glorious Had No Glory In This Respect, By Reason Of The Glory That Excelleth. For If That Which Is Done Away Was Glorious, Much More That Which Remaineth Is Glorious. Seeing Then That We Have Such Hope, We Use Great Plainness Of Speech:
Joel 2:28-32
And It Shall Come To Pass Afterward, That I Will Pour Out MY SPIRIT Upon All Flesh; And Your Sons And Your Daughters Shall Prophesy, Your Old Men Shall Dream Dreams, Your Young Men Shall See Visions: And Also Upon The Servants And Upon The Handmaids In Those Days Will I Pour Out MY SPIRIT. And I Will Shew Wonders In The Heavens And In The Earth, Blood, And Fire, And Pillars Of Smoke. The Sun Shall Be Turned Into Darkness, And The Moon Into Blood, Before The Great And The Terrible Day Of The LORD Come. And It Shall Come To Pass, That Whosoever Shall Call On The Name Of The LORD Shall Be Delivered: For In Mount Zion And In Jerusalem Shall Be Deliverance, As The LORD Hath Said, And In The Remnant Whom The LORD Shall Call.
Isaiah 42:1
Behold My Servant, Whom I Uphold; Mine Elect, In Whom My Soul Delighteth; I Have Put My Spirit Upon Him: He Shall Bring Forth Judgment To The Gentiles.
Matthew 12:17-18
That It Might Be Fulfilled Which Was Spoken By Esaias The Prophet, saying, Behold My Servant, Whom I Have Chosen; My Beloved, In Whom My Soul Is Well Pleased: I Will Put My Spirit Upon Him, And He Shall Direct Shew Judgment To The Gentiles.
Acts 2:17-39
And It Shall Come To Pass In The Last Days, Saith God, I Will Pour Out Of My Spirit Upon All Flesh: And Your Sons And Your Daughters Shall Prophesy, And Your Young Men Shall See Visions, And Your Old Men Shall Dream Dreams: And On My Servants And On My Handmaidens I Will Pour Out In Those Days Of My Spirit; And They Shall Prophesy: And I Will Shew Wonders In Heaven Above, And Signs In The Earth Beneath; Blood, And Fire, And Vapour Of Smoke: The Sun Shall Be Turned Into Darkness, And The Moon Into Blood, Before That Great And Notable Day Of The Lord Come: And It Shall Come To Pass, That Whosoever Shall Call On The Name Of The Lord Shall Be Saved. Ye Men Of Israel, Hear These Words; Jesus Of Nazareth, A Man Approved Of God Among You By Miracles And Wonders And Signs, Which God Did By Him In The Midst Of You, As Ye Yourselves Also Know: Him, Being Delivered By The Determinate Counsel And Foreknowledge Of God, Ye Have Taken, And By Wicked Hands Have Crucified And Slain: Whom God Hath Raised Up, Having Loosed The Pains Of Death: Because It Was Not Possible That He Should Be Holden Of It. For David Speaketh Concerning Him, I Foresaw The Lord Always Before My Face, For He Is On My Right Hand, That I Should Not Be Moved: Therefore Did My Heart Rejoice, And My Tongue Was Glad; Moreover Also My Flesh Shall Rest In Hope: Because Thou Wilt Not Leave My Soul In Hell, Neither Wilt Thou Suffer Thine Holy One To See Corruption. Thou Hast Made Known To Me The Ways Of Life; Thou Shalt Make Me Full Of Joy With Thy Countenance. Men And Brethren, Let Me Freely Speak Unto You Of The Patriarch David, That He Is Both Dead And Buried, And His Sepulchre Is With Us Unto This Day. Therefore Being A Prophet, And Knowing That God Had Sworn With An Oath To Him, That Of The Fruit Of His Loins, According To The Flesh, He Would Raise Up Christ To Sit On His Throne; He Seeing This Before Spake Of The Resurrection Of Christ, That His Soul Was Not Left In Hell, Neither His Flesh Did See Corruption. This Jesus Hath God Raised Up, Whereof We All Are Witnesses. Therefore Being By The Right Hand Of God Exalted, And Having Received Of The Father The Promise Of The Holy Ghost, He Hath Shed Forth This, Which Ye Now See And Hear. For David Is Not Ascended Into The Heavens: But He Saith Himself, The LORD Said Unto My Lord, Sit Thou On My Right Hand, Until I Make Thy Foes Thy Footstool. Therefore Let All The House Of Israel Know Assuredly, That God Hath Made That Same Jesus, Whom Ye Have Crucified, Both Lord And Christ. Now When They Heard This, They Were Pricked In Their Heart, And Said Unto Peter And To The Rest Of The Apostles, Men And Brethren, What Shall We Do? Then Peter Said Unto Them, Repent, And Be Baptized Every One Of You In The Name Of Jesus Christ For The Remission Of Sins, And Ye Shall Receive The Gift Of The Holy Ghost. For The Promise Is Unto You, And To Your Children, And To All That Are Afar Off, Even As Many As The Lord Our God Shall Call.
Romans 8:1-17
There is Therefore Now No Condemnation To Them Which Are In Christ Jesus, Who Walk Not After The Flesh, But After The Spirit. For The Law Of The Spirit Of Life In Christ Jesus Hath Made Me Free From The Law Of Sin And Death. For What The Law Could Not Do, In That It Was Weak Through The Flesh, God Sending His Own Son In The Likeness Of Sinful Flesh, And For Sin, Condemned Sin In The Flesh: That The Righteousness Of The Law Might Be Fulfilled In Us, Who Walk Not After The Flesh, But After The Spirit. For They That Are After The Flesh Do Mind The Things Of The Flesh; But They That Are After The Spirit The Things Of The Spirit. For To Be Carnally Minded Is Death; But To Be Spiritually Minded Is Life And Peace. Because The Carnal Mind Is Enmity Against God: For It Is Not Subject To The Law Of God, Neither Indeed Can Be. So Then They That Are In The Flesh Cannot Please God. But Ye Are Not In The Flesh, But In The Spirit, If So Be That The Spirit Of God Dwell In You. Now If Any Man Have Not The Spirit Of Christ, He Is None Of His. And If Christ Be In You, The Body Is Dead Because Of Sin; But The Spirit Is Life Because Of Righteousness. But If The Spirit Of Him That Raised Up Jesus From The Dead Dwell In You, He That Raised Up Christ From The Dead Shall Also Quicken Your Mortal Bodies By His Spirit That Dwelleth In You. Therefore, Brethren, We Are Debtors, Not To The Flesh, To Live After The Flesh. For If Ye Live After The Flesh, Ye Shall Die: But If Ye Through The Spirit Do Mortify The Deeds Of The Body, Ye Shall Live. For As Many As Are Led By The Spirit Of God, They Are The Sons Of God. For Ye Have Not Received The Spirit Of Bondage Again To Fear; But Ye Have Received The Spirit Of Adoption, Whereby We Cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit Itself Beareth Witness With Our Spirit, That We Are The Children Of God: And If Children, Then Heirs; Heirs Of God, And Joint-Heirs With Christ; If So Be That We Suffer With Him, That We May Be Also Glorified Together.
Ephesians 1:9-14
Having Made Known Unto Us The Mystery Of His Will, According To His Good Pleasure Which He Hath Purposed In Himself: That In The Dispensation Of The Fulness Of Times He Might Gather Together In One All Things In Christ, Both Which Are In Heaven, And Which Are On Earth; Even In Him: In Whom Also We Have Obtained An Inheritance, Being Predestinated According To The Purpose Of Him Who Worketh All Things After The Counsel Of His Own Will: That We Should Be To The Praise Of His Glory, Who First Trusted In Christ. In Whom Ye Also Trusted, After That Ye Heard The Word Of Truth, The Gospel Of Your Salvation: In Whom Also After That Ye Believed, Ye Were Sealed With That Holy Spirit Of Promise, Which Is The Earnest Of Our Inheritance Until The Redemption Of The Purchased Possession, Unto The Praise Of His Glory.
Ephesians 4:22-32
That Ye Put Off Concerning The Former Conversation The Old Man, Which Is Corrupt According To The Deceitful Lusts; And Be Renewed In The Spirit Of Your Mind; And That Ye Put On The New Man, Which After God Is Created In Righteousness And True Holiness. Wherefore Putting Away Lying, Speak Every Man Truth With His Neighbour: For We Are Members One Of Another. Be Ye Angry, And Sin Not: Let Not The Sun Go Down Upon Your Wrath: Neither Give Place To The Devil. Let Him That Stole Steal No More: But Rather Let Him Labour, Working With His Hands The Thing Which Is Good, That He May Have To Give To Him That Needeth. Let No Corrupt Communication Proceed Out Of Your Mouth, But That Which Is Good To The Use Of Edifying, That It May Minister Grace Unto The Hearers. And Grieve Not The Holy Spirit Of God, Whereby Ye Are Sealed Unto The Day Of Redemption. Let All Bitterness, And Wrath, And Anger, And Clamour, And Evil Speaking, Be Put Away From You, With All Malice: And Be Ye Kind One To Another, Tenderhearted, Forgiving One Another, Even As God For Christ's Sake Hath Forgiven You.
1 Corinthians 12:3-13
Wherefore I Give You To Understand, That No Man Speaking By The Spirit Of God Calleth Jesus Accursed: And That No Man Can Say That Jesus Is The Lord, But By The Holy Ghost. Now There Are Diversities Of Gifts, But The Same Spirit. And There Are Differences Of Administrations, But The Same Lord. And There Are Diversities Of Operations, But It Is The Same God Which Worketh All In All. But The Manifestation Of The Spirit Is Given To Every Man To Profit Withal. For To One Is Given By The Spirit The Word Of Wisdom; To Another The Word Of Knowledge By The Same Spirit; To Another Faith By The Same Spirit; To Another The Gifts Of Healing By The Same Spirit; To Another The Working Of Miracles; To Another Prophecy; To Another Discerning Of Spirits; To Another Divers Kinds Of Tongues; To Another The Interpretation Of Tongues: But All These Worketh That One And The Selfsame Spirit, Dividing To Every Man Severally As He Will. For As The Body Is One, And Hath Many Members, And All The members Of That One Body, Being Many, Are One Body: So Also Is Christ. For By One Spirit Are We All Baptized Into One Body, Whether We Be Jews Or Gentiles, Whether We Be Bond Or Free; And Have Been All Made To Drink Into One Spirit.
1 Corinthians 14:12-33
Even So Ye, Forasmuch As Ye Are Zealous Of Spiritual Gifts, Seek That Ye May Excel To The Edifying Of The Church. Wherefore Let Him That Speaketh In An Unknown Tongue Pray That He May Interpret. For If I Pray In An Unknown Tongue, My Spirit Prayeth, But My Understanding Is Unfruitful. What Is It Then? I Will Pray With The Spirit, And I Will Pray With The Understanding Also: I Will Sing With The Spirit, And I Will Sing With The Understanding Also. Else When Thou Shalt Bless With The Spirit, How Shall He That Occupieth The Room Of The Unlearned Say Amen At Thy Giving Of Thanks, Seeing He Understandeth Not What Thou Sayest? For Thou Verily Givest Thanks Well, But The Other Is Not Edified. I Thank My God, I Speak With Tongues More Than Ye All: Yet In The Church I Had Rather Speak Five Words With My Understanding, That By My Voice I Might Teach Others Also, Than Ten Thousand Words In An Unknown Tongue. Brethren, Be Not Children In Understanding: Howbeit In Malice Be Ye Children, But In Understanding Be Men. In The Law It Is Written, With Men Of Other Tongues And Other Lips Will I Speak Unto This People; And Yet For All That Will They Not Hear me, Saith The Lord. Wherefore Tongues Are For A Sign, Not To Them That Believe, But To Them That Believe Not: But Prophesying Serveth Not For Them That Believe Not, But For Them Which Believe. If Therefore The Whole Church Be Come Together Into One Place, And All Speak With Tongues, And There Come In Those That Are Unlearned, Or Unbelievers, Will They Not Say That Ye Are Mad? But If All Prophesy, And There Come In One That Believeth Not, Or One Unlearned, He Is Convinced Of All, He Is Judged Of All: And Thus Are The Secrets Of His Heart Made Manifest; And So Falling Down On His Face He Will Worship God, And Report That God Is In You Of A Truth. How Is It Then, Brethren? When Ye Come Together, Every One Of You Hath A Psalm, Hath A Doctrine, Hath A Tongue, Hath A Revelation, Hath An Interpretation. Let All Things Be Done Unto Edifying. If Any Man Speak In An Unknown Tongue, Let It Be By Two, Or At The Most By Three, And That By Course; And Let One Interpret. But If There Be No Interpreter, Let Him Keep Silence In The Church; And Let Him Speak To Himself, And To God. Let The Prophets Speak Two Or Three, And Let The Other Judge. If Any Thing Be Revealed To Another That Sitteth By, Let The First Hold His Peace. For Ye May All Prophesy One By One, That All May Learn, And All May Be Comforted. And The Spirits Of The Prophets Are Subject To The Prophets. For God Is Not The Author Of Confusion, But Of Peace, As In All Churches Of The Saints.
1 Corinthians 13:8-13
Charity Never Faileth: But Whether There Be Prophecies, They Shall Fail; Whether There Be Tongues, They Shall Cease; Whether There Be Knowledge, It Shall Vanish Away. For We Know In Part, And We Prophesy In Part. But When That Which Is Perfect Is Come, Then That Which Is In Part Shall Be Done Away. When I Was A Child, I Spake As A Child, I Understood As A Child, I Thought As A Child: But When I Became A Man, I Put Away Childish Things. For Now We See Through A Glass, Darkly; But Then Face To Face: Now I Know In Part; But Then Shall I Know Even As Also I Am Known. And Now Abideth Faith, Hope, Charity, These Three; But The Greatest Of These Is Charity.
Galatians 5:18-26
But If Ye Be Led Of The Spirit, Ye Are Not Under The Law. Now The Works Of The Flesh Are Manifest, Which Are These; Adultery, Fornication, Uncleanness, Lasciviousness, Idolatry, Witchcraft, Hatred, Variance, Emulations, Wrath, Strife, Seditions, Heresies, Envyings, Murders, Drunkenness, Revellings, And Such Like: Of The Which I Tell You Before, As I Have Also Told You In Time Past, That They Which Do Such Things Shall Not Inherit The Kingdom Of God. But The Fruit Of The Spirit Is Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness, Temperance: Against Such There Is No Law. And They That Are Christ's Have Crucified The Flesh With The Affections And Lusts. If We Live In The Spirit, Let Us Also Walk In The Spirit. Let Us Not Be Desirous Of Vain Glory, Provoking One Another, Envying One Another.
Ephesians 5:9-20
(For The Fruit Of The Spirit Is In All Goodness And Righteousness And Truth;) Proving What Is Acceptable Unto The Lord. And Have No Fellowship With The Unfruitful Works Of Darkness, But Rather Reprove Them. For It Is A Shame Even To Speak Of Those Things Which Are Done Of Them In Secret. But All Things That Are Reproved Are Made Manifest By The Light: For Whatsoever Doth Make Manifest Is Light. Wherefore He Saith, Awake Thou That Sleepest, And Arise From The Dead, And Christ Shall Give Thee Light. See Then That Ye Walk Circumspectly, Not As Fools, But As Wise, Redeeming The Time, Because The Days Are Evil. Wherefore Be Ye Not Unwise, But Understanding What The Will Of The Lord Is. And Be Not Drunk With Wine, Wherein Is Excess; But Be Filled With The Spirit; Speaking To Yourselves In Psalms And Hymns And Spiritual Songs, Singing And Making Melody In Your Heart To The Lord; Giving Thanks Always For All Things Unto God And The Father In The Name Of Our Lord Jesus Christ;
2 Corinthians 1:20-22
For All The Promises Of God In Him Are Yea, And In Him Amen, Unto The Glory Of God By Us. Now He Which Stablisheth Us With You In Christ, And Hath Anointed Us, Is God; Who Hath Also Sealed Us, And Given The Earnest Of The Spirit In Our Hearts.
