RIGHTEOUSNESS AND TRUE HOLINESS

1 Peter 1:13-25

Wherefore Gird Up The Loins Of Your Mind, Be Sober, And Hope To The End For The Grace That Is To Be Brought Unto You At The Revelation Of Jesus Christ; As Obedient Children, Not Fashioning Yourselves According To The Former Lusts In Your Ignorance: But As He Which Hath Called You Is Holy, So Be Ye Holy In All Manner Of Conversation; Because It Is Written, Be Ye Holy; For I Am Holy. And If Ye Call On The Father, Who Without Respect Of Persons Judgeth According To Every Man's Work, Pass The Time Of Your Sojourning Here In Fear: Forasmuch As Ye Know That Ye Were Not Redeemed With Corruptible Things, As Silver And Gold, From Your Vain Conversation Received By Tradition From Your Fathers; But With The Precious Blood Of Christ, As Of A Lamb Without Blemish And Without Spot: Who Verily Was Foreordained Before The Foundation Of The World, But Was Manifest In These Last Times For You, Who By Him Do Believe In God, That Raised Him Up From The Dead, And Gave Him Glory; That Your Faith And Hope Might Be In God. Seeing Ye Have Purified Your Souls In Obeying The Truth Through The Spirit Unto Unfeigned Love Of The Brethren, See That Ye Love One Another With A Pure Heart Fervently: Being Born Again, Not Of Corruptible Seed, But Of Incorruptible, By The Word Of God, Which Liveth And Abideth For Ever. For All Flesh Is As Grass, And All The Glory Of Man As The Flower Of Grass. The Grass Withereth, And The Flower Thereof Falleth Away: But The Word Of The Lord Endureth For Ever. And This Is The Word Which By The Gospel Is Preached Unto You.

Galatians 5:13-25

For, Brethren, Ye Have Been Called Unto Liberty; Only Use Not Liberty For An Occasion To The Flesh, But By Love Serve One Another. For All The Law Is Fulfilled In One Word, Even In This; Thou Shalt Love Thy Neighbour As Thyself. But If Ye Bite And Devour One Another, Take Heed That Ye Be Not Consumed One Of Another. This I Say Then, Walk In The Spirit, And Ye Shall Not Fulfil The Lust Of The Flesh. For The Flesh Lusteth Against The Spirit, And The Spirit Against The Flesh: And These Are Contrary The One To The Other: So That Ye Cannot Do The Things That Ye Would. But If Ye Be Led Of The Spirit, Ye Are Not Under The Law. Now The Works Of The Flesh Are Manifest, Which Are These; Adultery, Fornication, Uncleanness, Lasciviousness, Idolatry, Witchcraft, Hatred, Variance, Emulations, Wrath, Strife, Seditions, Heresies, Envyings, Murders, Drunkenness, Revellings, And Such Like: Of The Which I Tell You Before, As I Have Also Told You In Time Past, That They Which Do Such Things Shall Not Inherit The Kingdom Of God. But The Fruit Of The Spirit Is Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness, Temperance: Against Such There Is No Law. And They That Are Christ's Have Crucified The Flesh With The Affections And Lusts. If We Live In The Spirit, Let Us Also Walk In The Spirit.

Ephesians 5:1-21

Be Ye Therefore Followers Of God, As Dear Children; And Walk In Love, As Christ Also Hath Loved Us, And Hath Given Himself For Us An Offering And A Sacrifice To God For A Sweetsmelling Savour. But Fornication, And All Uncleanness, Or Covetousness, Let It Not Be Once Named Among You, As Becometh Saints; Neither Filthiness, Nor Foolish Talking, Nor Jesting, Which Are Not Convenient: But Rather Giving Of Thanks. For This Ye Know, That No Whoremonger, Nor Unclean Person, Nor Covetous Man, Who Is An Idolater, Hath Any Inheritance In The Kingdom Of Christ And Of God. And Have No Fellowship With The Unfruitful Works Of Darkness, But Rather Reprove Them. For It Is A Shame Even To Speak Of Those Things Which Are Done Of Them In Secret.

But All Things That Are Reproved Are Made Manifest By The Light: For Whatsoever Doth Make Manifest Is Light. Wherefore He Saith, Awake Thou That Sleepest, And Arise From The Dead, And Christ Shall Give Thee Light. See Then That Ye Walk Circumspectly, Not As Fools, But As Wise, Redeeming The Time, Because The Days Are Evil. Wherefore Be Ye Not Unwise, But Understanding What The Will Of The Lord Is. And Be Not Drunk With Wine, Wherein Is Excess; But Be Filled With The Spirit; Speaking To Yourselves In Psalms And Hymns And Spiritual Songs, Singing And Making Melody In Your Heart To The Lord; Giving Thanks Always For All Things Unto God And The Father In The Name Of Our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting Yourselves One To Another In The Fear Of God.

2 Corinthians 7:1

Having Therefore These Promises, Dearly Beloved, Let Us Cleanse Ourselves From All Filthiness Of The Flesh And Spirit, Perfecting Holiness In The Fear Of God.

Romans 8:26-29

This I Say Therefore, And Testify In The Lord, That Ye Henceforth Walk Not As Other Gentiles Walk, In The Vanity Of Their Mind, Having The Understanding Darkened, Being Alienated From The Life Of God Through The Ignorance That Is In Them, Because Of The Blindness Of Their Heart: Who Being Past Feeling Have Given Themselves Over Unto Lasciviousness, To Work All Uncleanness With Greediness. But Ye Have Not So Learned Christ; If So Be That Ye Have Heard Him, And Have Been Taught By Him, As The Truth Is In Jesus: That Ye Put Off Concerning The Former Conversation The Old Man, Which Is Corrupt According To The Deceitful Lusts; And Be Renewed In The Spirit Of Your Mind; And That Ye Put On The New Man, Which After God Is Created In RIGHTEOUSNESS AND TRUE HOLINESS.

Some Christians seem to believe that because they are Saved, and under Grace, they can do anything that pleases them, assuming they don't have to worry about the wrath of God. After Salvation, we can do what pleases us, but our pleasure and delight should be in God, in His Son, and in His Word.

God Is Holy, and only after Salvation do we receive knowledge of pleases God because we receive The Holy Spirit. After Salvation, we become Children Of God, and He starts making us, molding us into the image of Jesus Christ. As Children Of God, we are supposed to be changed from who we were before Salvation. It is only after Salvation we can begin to understand what Jesus Christ Went Through to Sanctify us. Only after Salvation do we sincerely desire to yield ourselves to The Holy Spirit for leadership and guidance. If you say you are a Born-Again Christian and have no desire to be changed into a new creature, or you have no desire for God or His Word, then you need to examine yourself and ensure that you are genuinely BORN-AGAIN. I understand that we get busy in this world and go through hardships, but we should never be so busy that we stay the old man of the flesh. We are to put off the old man and his flesh and become new. The Holy Spirit Of God IS Our Lifeline with God; when we ignore The Holy Spirit, we are ignoring God. We can say we love Jesus Christ, but do we humble ourselves to His leadership? Are we willing to put away the things of this world for The Holiness that God requires?

Deuteronomy 5:6-21

I Am The Lord Thy God, Which Brought Thee Out Of The Land Of Egypt, From The House Of Bondage. Thou Shalt Have None Other Gods Before Me. THE SHOUT OF THE LORD AND THE TRUMPET SOUND

1 Timothy 2:1-6

I Exhort Therefore, That, First Of All, Supplications, Prayers, Intercessions, And Giving Of Thanks, Be Made For All Men; For Kings, And For All That Are In Authority; That We May Lead A Quiet And Peaceable Life In All Godliness And Honesty. For This Is Good And Acceptable In The Sight Of God Our Saviour; Who Will Have All Men To Be Saved, And To Come Unto The Knowledge Of The Truth. For There Is One God, And One Mediator Between God And Men, The Man Christ Jesus; Who Gave Himself A Ransom For All, To Be Testified In Due Time.

Hebrews 7:25

1 Thessalonians 4:11-18

Luke 21:33-36

Heaven And Earth Shall Pass Away: But My Words Shall Not Pass Away. And Take Heed To Yourselves, Lest At Any Time Your Hearts Be Overcharged With Surfeiting, And Drunkenness, And Cares Of This Life, And So That Day Come Upon You Unawares. For As A Snare Shall It Come On All Them That Dwell On The Face Of The Whole Earth. Watch Ye Therefore, And Pray Always, That Ye May Be Accounted Worthy To Escape All These Things That Shall Come To Pass, And To Stand Before The Son Of Man.

Don't Be So Entangled In This World That You Can't Hear THE SHOUT OF THE LORD AND THE TRUMPET SOUND.

Acts 2:27,31

Because Thou Wilt Not Leave My Soul In Hell, Neither Wilt Thou Suffer Thine Holy One To See Corruption.

[31] He Seeing This Before Spake Of The Resurrection Of Christ, That His Soul Was Not Left In Hell, Neither His Flesh Did See Corruption.

Who Did Jesus Christ Redeem? Those Who Were Under The Law.

What Were Those Who Under The Law Redeemed From? The Curse Of The Law.

What Is The Curse Of The Law? The Wrath Of God.

Romans 8:2, Romans 614b., 1 John 3:5b., Romans 3:20b., & Romans 7:8b.

The Spirit Of Life In Christ Jesus Hath Made Me Free From The Law Of Sin And Death; For Sin Is The Transgression Of The Law; For By The Law Is The Knowledge Of Sin, Without The Law Sin Was Dead, Ye Are Not Under The Law, But Under Grace.

Redeem: Compensate For The Faults Or Bad Aspects Of (Something). Gain Or Regain Possession Of (Something) In Exchange For Payment.

[34] Awake To Righteousness, And Sin Not; For Some Have Not The Knowledge Of God: I Speak This To Your Shame.

1 Corinthians 14:12

Even So Ye, Forasmuch As Ye Are Zealous Of Spiritual Gifts, Seek That Ye May Excel To The Edifying Of The Church.

In 1 Corinthians 12 And 13, We See Paul Trying To Get Christians Back Into Order. The Corinthians Had Gotten So Wrapped Up In Speaking In Tongues They Were Unedifying. The Corinthians Had To Have Paul Explain Why The Spiritual Tongues Were Given And How To Use Them.

In 1 Corinthians 14:21-22 Paul Told The Corinthians That,

"In The Law It Is Written, With Men Of Other Tongues And Other Lips Will I Speak Unto This People; And Yet For All That Will They Not Hear Me, Saith The Lord. Wherefore Tongues Are For A Sign, Not To Them That Believe, But To Them That Believe Not: But Prophesying Serveth Not For Them That Believe Not, But For Them Which Believe".

Tongues Are For A Sign To The Unbelievers, Not To The Believers. Do Not Get So Wrapped Up In A Gift That You Forget THE GIFT, JESUS CHRIST.

As You Can See In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul Pointed Them To The Foundation Of Christianity, Christ Died For Our Sins According To The Scriptures; And That He Was Buried, And That He Rose Again The Third Day According To The Scriptures.

Some Corinthians Had Started Teaching There Is No Resurrection From The Dead, Yet They All Spoke In Tongues. Paul Told Them To Awake To Righteousness, And Sin Not; For Some Have Not The Knowledge Of God: I Speak This To Your Shame. Paul Told The Corinthians In 1 Corinthians 15:2

By Which Also Ye Are Saved, If Ye Keep In Memory What I Preached Unto You, Unless Ye Have Believed In Vain.

Do Not Let Your Faith Be In Vain.

We Need Always To Remember WHO Christianity Is All About, Jesus Christ, And WHAT Christianity Is All About, The Sacrifice Of Jesus Christ.

Every Spiritual Gift Is From God For A Reason And Is To Be Used For The Edifying Of The Church. WE NEED TO TEACH ABOUT JESUS CHRIST AND HIS SACRIFICE. WE NEED TO TEACH THE PEACE JESUS CHRIST BOUGHT BACK FOR MAN WITH GOD THROUGH HIS BLOOD!

Anyone Who Preaches Or Teaches The Word Of God Should Understand That Our Comments And Opinions Are Just That. The Word Of God Is The One That Is Quick, Powerful, And Sharper Than Any Twoedged Sword, Piercing Even To The Dividing Asunder Of Soul And Spirit, And Of The Joints And Marrow, And Is A Discerner Of The Thoughts And Intents Of The Heart. Let The Word Of God Do The Speaking. I May Add A Commentary During My Teaching, But I Like To Use The Word Of God To Prove The Point. I Can Never Convict Anyone. That Is Not My Job; The Holy Spirit Is The One Who Draws And Convicts. Men Are Not And Will Never Be Quick, Powerful, Or Sharp Enough To Pierce To The Dividing Asunder Of Soul And Spirit, And Of The Joints And Marrow, And Is A Discerner Of The Thoughts And Intents Of The Heart. He That Despised Moses' Law Died Without Mercy Under Two Or Three Witnesses: Of How Much Sorer Punishment, Suppose Ye, Shall He Be Thought Worthy, Who Hath Trodden Under Foot The Son Of God, And Hath Counted The Blood Of The Covenant, Wherewith He Was Sanctified, An Unholy Thing, And Hath Done Despite Unto The Spirit Of Grace? Romans 8:1-2

There Is Therefore Now No Condemnation To Them Which Are In Christ Jesus, Who Walk Not After The Flesh, But After The Spirit. For The Law Of The Spirit Of Life In Christ Jesus Hath Made Me Free From The Law Of Sin And Death.

The Question Is, Are You Born-Again? If You Are Born-Again, Then You Are Saved From The Wrath Of God.

Can You Sin After Salvation?

To Sin After Salvation, You Have To Deny Jesus Christ And His Blood Sacrifice. To Sin After Salvation, You Have To Despise Jesus Christ, And Then You Will Die Without Mercy. If You Were To Sin After Salvation, You Will Have Trodden Under Foot The Son Of God And Have Counted The Blood Of The Covenant, Wherewith You Was Sanctified, An Unholy Thing, And You Have Done Despite Unto The Spirit Of Grace.

To Sin After Salvation, A Born-Again Christian Would Have To Draw Back From Christ Jesus And His Blood Sacrifice, But Then Could Never Be Saved Or Renewed Again; Salvation Is A One-Time Gift.

Romans 6:9-11

Knowing That Christ Being Raised From The Dead Dieth No More; Death Hath No More Dominion Over Him. For In That He Died, He Died Unto Sin ONCE: But In That He Liveth, He Liveth Unto God. LIKEWISE Reckon Ye Also Yourselves To Be Dead Indeed Unto Sin, But Alive Unto God Through Jesus Christ Our Lord.

1 John 3:5-6

And Ye Know That He Was Manifested To Take Away Our Sins; And In Him Is No Sin.

COLOSSIANS 1:1-23

DO WE PRAY FOR NEW BELIEVERS?

DO WE PRAY FOR ALL BELIEVERS?

DO WE ENCOURAGE ALL BELIEVERS?

DO WE TEACH THE BELIEVERS?

DO WE REINFORCE THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL TO THE BELIEVERS?

DO WE REMIND THE BELIEVERS THAT GOD IS THE ONE WHO MADE US MEET FOR THE INHERITANCE WITH THE SAINTS?

DO WE REMIND THE BELIEVERS ABOUT THE GRACE OF GOD IN TRUTH?

DO WE REMIND THE BELIEVER THAT WE ARE SAVED BY GRACE, THROUGH FAITH?

DO WE LOVE IN THE SPIRIT?

DO WE ASK GOD TO STRENGTHEN ALL BELIEVERS?

DO WE ASK GOD TO GIVE ALL BELIEVERS ALL WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE OF HIS WILL?

DO WE TELL THE BELIEVERS THAT GOD IS ALL POWER AND THAT HE CAN MEET ALL OUR NEEDS?

DO WE TRY TO BE THERE FOR THE BELIEVERS WHEN THEIR FAITH BECOMES WEAK?

DO WE TEACH THE BELIEVER HOW THEY DIED TO THE FLESH AND NOW ARE TO BE FRUITFUL IN EVERY GOOD WORK?

DO WE REMIND THE BELIEVERS THAT JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR US TO BE REDEEMED BACK TO GOD?

DO WE REMIND THE BELIEVERS THAT WE ARE NOW CHILDREN OF LIGHT?

DO WE REMIND BELIEVERS WHOSE CHILD WE TRULY ARE?

DO WE REMIND BELIEVERS THAT WE HAVE PEACE WITH GOD AND THAT HE LOVES US?

DO WE TELL THE BELIEVER THAT GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE SENT HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON TO BE THE SACRIFICE THAT SAVES THE WORLD?

DO WE REMIND THE BELIEVER THAT WE ARE SEALED UNTIL THE DAY OF REDEMPTION BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, WHICH IS THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST JESUS?

DO WE REMIND THE BELIEVER THAT WE HAVE AN ETERNAL HOME WITH THE ONE TRUE AND HOLY GOD?

ARE WE THERE FOR ALL BELIEVERS?

ARE WE JOYFUL AND EXCITED FOR OUR AND THEIR SALVATION?

ARE WE EXCITED FOR ALL BELIEVERS BECAUSE THEY ARE BELIEVERS?

DO WE SHARE THE GOSPEL IN TRUTH?

IF ANY OF US DO NOT DO THESE, THEN I HAVE TO ASK, ARE WE REALLY EXCITED AND THANKFUL FOR OUR SALVATION? ANYTHING WE ARE EXCITED ABOUT WE SHARE. LOVE THROUGH AND IN THE SPIRIT.

REREAD THIS PART OF COLOSSIANS BECAUSE THIS IS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF HOW THE CHRISTIAN SHOULD BE.

THE PROBLEM WITH GIVING INTO PEER PRESSURE

Acts 15:1-2,5-11,13,19-31

And Certain Men Which Came Down From Judaea Taught The Brethren, And Said, Except Ye Be Circumcised After The Manner Of Moses, Ye Cannot Be Saved. When Therefore Paul And Barnabas Had No Small Dissension And Disputation With Them, They Determined That Paul And Barnabas, And Certain Other Of Them, Should Go Up To Jerusalem Unto The Apostles And Elders About This Question.

[5] But There Rose Up Certain Of The Sect Of The Pharisees Which Believed, Saying, That It Was Needful To Circumcise Them, And To Command Them To Keep The Law Of Moses. And The Apostles And Elders Came Together For To Consider Of This Matter. And When There Had Been Much Disputing, Peter Rose Up, And Said Unto Them, Men And Brethren, Ye Know How That A Good While Ago God Made Choice Among Us, That The Gentiles By My Mouth Should Hear The Word Of The Gospel, And Believe. [28] And He Said Unto Them, Ye Know How That It Is An Unlawful Thing For A Man That Is A Jew To Keep Company, Or Come Unto One Of Another Nation; But God Hath Shewed Me That I Should Not Call Any Man Common Or Unclean.

I Have, In The Past, Felt The Peer Pressure Of Others Trying To Get Me To Stop Teaching Salvation Is Of Faith By Grace, And We Are No Longer Under The Law But Under Grace. Some People Wanted Me To Doubt Grace, So I Started Studying My Bible For Myself. The Problem With Peer Pressure Is That You Back Off What You Know Is True. Peter Knew That Salvation Is Of Faith That It Might Be By Grace. Peter Was An Apostle Of Christ Jesus; He Walked With Him For Years, And Christ Jesus Taught Him, But Still Let The Peer Pressure Of Others Persuade Him To Put His Knowledge To The Side. Peter Knew He Had Received The Word Of Faith By Grace In A Trance; God Told Him All Men Could Receive Salvation, Not Just The Jewish People. The Law Of God Is What Separated The Jewish People And The Gentiles. The Gentiles Were Considered Unclean Because They Did Not Have The Law. The Bible Explains It In Ephesians 2:8-22,

For By Grace Are Ye Saved Through Faith; And That Not Of Yourselves: It Is The Gift Of God: Not Of Works, Lest Any Man Should Boast. For We Are His Workmanship, Created In Christ Jesus Unto Good Works, Which God Hath Before Ordained That We Should Walk In Them. Wherefore Remember, That Ye Being In Time Past Gentiles In The Flesh, Who Are Called Uncircumcision By That Which Is Called The Circumcision In The Flesh Made By Hands; That At That Time Ye Were Without Christ, Being Aliens From The Commonwealth Of Israel, And Strangers From The Covenants Of Promise, Having No Hope, And Without God In The World: But Now In Christ Jesus Ye Who Sometimes Were Far Off Are Made Nigh By The Blood Of Christ. The Fulfillment Of Christ Jesus took the Law Away So Everyone Can Live In Faith By Grace, Colossians 2:14

Blotting Out The Handwriting Of Ordinances That Was Against Us, Which Was Contrary To Us, And Took It Out Of The Way, Nailing It To His Cross;

Romans 7:4-6

Wherefore, My Brethren, Ye Also Are Become Dead To The Law By The Body Of Christ; That Ye Should Be Married To Another, Even To Him Who Is Raised From The Dead, That We Should Bring Forth Fruit Unto God. For When We Were In The Flesh, The Motions Of Sins, Which Were By The Law, Did Work In Our Members To Bring Forth Fruit Unto Death. But Now We Are Delivered From The Law, That Being Dead Wherein We Were Held; That We Should Serve In Newness Of Spirit, And Not In The Oldness Of The Letter.

Luke 24:44
